About the test
The Canadian Citizenship Test is a 20-question written exam administered by a citizenship official at an IRCC office. You have 30 minutes and need at least 15 of 20 correct (75%) to pass. It is offered in English or French and is taken by adult applicants for Canadian citizenship as part of the naturalisation process.
Questions cover Canada's history, geography, government, symbols, and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship as set out in Discover Canada. This app is a study aid, not a substitute for the official guide — read it cover to cover at least once before relying on practice apps.
